The Am Law 100 firm to see the steepest drop in head count during 2015 was Bingham McCutchen, the now-defunct Boston-based legal giant that saw most of its partners join Morgan, Lewis & Bockius on Jan. 1 of last year.

Over the past several weeks, some of those lawyers have left Morgan Lewis for new homes. New York-based Phillips Nizer announced in January that it had hired former Bingham partner JARED CLARK as a bankruptcy litigation and restructuring partner in the Big Apple. Clark had been of counsel at Morgan Lewis, which saw another Bingham partner, broker-dealer expert MICHAEL WEISSMANN, leave its Boston office last fall to mutual fund giant Fidelity Investments’ enterprise compliance unit as senior vice president of business conduct and functions.
