DLA Piper’s Sir Nigel Knowles is to step down from his role as global co-chairman and senior partner of the 3,700-lawyer firm’s international partnership.

Knowles, who oversaw the transformation of DLA Piper into a global legal giant over the past two decades, will leave his management post in April. He will retire as a partner at the end of June and become a consultant to the firm.
