JORGE LOPEZ JR., a longtime partner at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in Washington, D.C., and head of the firm’s national health industry practice, will leave on July 1 for a prestigious in-house role.
New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center confirmed late last week that Lopez would replace the retiring Roger Parker as its executive vice president and general counsel this summer. Tax records filed by the research institution show that Parker received $690,162 in total compensation in 2013.
