Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson had a strong year in 2015, driven at least partly by strategic and operational changes made by chair David Greenwald in his first full year at the helm. Gross revenue exceeded $500 million for the first time, while revenue per lawyer climbed 10.4 percent, to a record high of $1.225 million. Profits per partner jumped 21.5 percent, to $2.205 million.

Greenwald says the growth was spurred by a strategic realignment and a greater focus on costs and efficiency. “The strategic decisions we took in 2014 are beginning to pay off,” he says. “We set very ambitious performance goals for the firm, and thanks to a lot of hard work and talent, we met them all.”
