Newly filed court papers in the Dewey & LeBoeuf criminal case attempt to answer a central question dogging the indicted executives: Who pressed the New York County District Attorney’s Office to investigate the firm’s finances amid its 2012 collapse?
On Tuesday, defense counsel for former chief financial officer Joel Sanders suggested two possibilities: John Moscow, a veteran of the Manhattan DA’s office and a current partner at Baker & Hostetler; and Seth Farber, a former Dewey & LeBoeuf partner now ensconced as head of litigation at Winston & Strawn in New York.
