The legal industry gained about 100 jobs in May, according to seasonally adjusted preliminary data released Friday by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

The modest gains made last month mean the legal sector now employs an estimated 1,123,500 people, about the same number of people as in January of this year. So far in 2016, the legal industry’s employment figures have leveled off after making some gains in 2015.
