A bevy of big firms continued this week to match the new base pay scale for associates set Monday by Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

Late Wednesday, Sullivan & Cromwell sought to up the ante for its most senior associates. The firm is raising both rank-and-file and summer associate pay scales to match the Cravath model, but the most senior classes of 2007 through 2009 are getting somewhat higher raises at Sullivan & Cromwell.
