While partners at several leading Irish law firms would have preferred a different outcome to last week’s so-called Brexit vote that will see the U.K. leave the European Union, some said this week that they have been busy with client queries and looking at opportunities for expanded legal work.
As some U.K.-qualified lawyers seek to register in Ireland in order to continue advising on EU-related matters, big firms with a presence in the country could see an increase in workload as companies consider shifting operations or even redomiciling in the Emerald Isle amid the economic turmoil wrought by Brexit’s aftermath.
