This week brought good news and bad news for companies on the antitrust front.
The Department of Justice is suing to block a duo of health insurance mega deals inked last year—Anthem’s $54 billion acquisition of Cigna and Aetna’s $37 billion acquisition of Humana. But the dozen law firms that won work on Anheuser-Busch InBev’s $106 billion megamerger with SABMiller, announced in November, have reason to toast again. On Wednesday, the Justice Department cleared the pairing, with AB InBev agreeing to several conditions.
