PSKW v. McKesson Specialty Arizona
In a trade secrets case with half a billion dollars at stake, on Feb. 10 Covington & Burling partner Clara Shin delivered an across-the-board trial win in New York state court for her defendant client, a division of McKesson Corp. The largest pharmaceutical distributor in North America, McKesson was sued in the Supreme Court of the State of New York in 2007 by PSKW LLC over the idea for a drug loyalty card that used pharmacy payment technology to process real-time prescription discounts. The two companies had worked together on the concept, but couldn’t come to terms and then parted ways.
