Lexis Closes the Research Gap

For years, one of the major distinctions separating Westlaw from LexisNexis was West's headnote integration. This gap in the capabilities of the two major legal research providers has apparently been closed with Lexis' recent announcement that its Shepard's Reports citation tool is now completely integrated with LexisNexis Headnotes.

LiveNote Acquires RealLegal

LiveNote Inc., maker of the LiveNote SR and LiveNote Web transcript management software products, has acquired the litigation technology division of RealLegal, creator of the E-Transcript format, widely recognized as an industry standard for electronic transcript delivery.
