Greenberg Traurig Maher (GTM) and Ashurst have taken the lead roles on the sale of pest control giant Rentokil's sale of its facilities management business to Interserve for £250m. The deal, which is subject to shareholder approval, Interserve acquire Rentokil subsidiary Initial Facilities via a bank facility and share placement.

Deloitte: UK top 100 sees Q3 rises in fees, hourly rates and income

Improved confidence and increased market activity has pushed up rates and fee earner income at the UK's top 100 law firms, according to the latest legal sector survey by auditor Deloitte. The study, which looked at the quarter ended 31 January 2014, found that average income for fee earners increased by 4.5% compared with the same period a year ago.
