The Initial-Aggressor Rule and the Shooting of Karon BlakeTrial judges should be required to give the jury an initial-aggressor instruction whenever an individual charged with a crime of violence brings a firearm outside the home and displays it in a threatening manner, points it at another person, or shoots it and claims self-defense.
