On the Dark Side of the Moon: The Supreme Court's Credibility Crisis Over Abortion LawIn an apparent attempt to answer the public backlash from its Sept. 1 decision leaving in effect Texas' "heartbeat" abortion law, SCOTUS on Friday sped up review of one limited part of the case. If the justices allow an unconstitutional law to operate, they could squander public confidence in ways that far exceed the bounds of abortion cases. Keep-away or not, this is no game.
