Infrastructure Bill Would Resurrect Superfund Excise TaxesOn Aug. 10, the U.S. Senate passed President Joe Biden's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (HR 3684 or Infrastructure Bill) by a vote of 69-30. The $1 trillion Infrastructure Bill received bipartisan support with a proposed $550 billion in new infrastructure spending over the next five years that would be offset by a combination of tax and nontax provisions.
