When my students attended study hall, I often did the same, preparing both for my law school classes and the African-American history course I taught to seniors. Of course, seeing me prepare for law school on a nightly basis sparked curiosity in many of my students—so much so that 15 years later I still receive calls from former students who attend, graduated or plan to go to law school.
