When Tweets Can Make You a Jailbird

The Feds are on Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, and Twitter, too. An internal DOJ document that surfaced in a lawsuit shows U.S. agents are logging on surreptitiously to exchange messages with suspects, ID a target's friends and browse private data such as tweets, photos and video clips.

Army Accused of Ignoring GAO Recommendation to Reopen Bids on $150B War Contract

A $150 billion contract to support U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan has become a magnet for complaints from companies who want a piece of the action. Two firms on the losing end of an Army decision to award work on the project are claiming the service is not living up to a Government Accounting Office recommendation that bidding be reopened on the deal, known as the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program, or LOGCAP IV. The companies have lodged new protests with the GAO.
