Walking the distance in the summer heat was only slightly less offensive than competing with a half-dozen other couples each trying to flag down a taxi. I jumped in and basked in the air-conditioned cool, while taking in the warm glow of two dash-mounted mobile devices stationed next to the built-in vehicle navigation screen.
