Description

To aggressively enforce its antitrust agenda, the Biden Administration is taking bolder approaches by ramping up antitrust enforcement. In one of its recent moves, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division jointly announced their plans to modernize current merger guidelines.

The ongoing merger surge has bred mounting concerns relating to antitrust and other significant competition practices. Recent developments in this area of law also point to a stricter regulatory landscape and potential reforms. Thus, companies and all affected individuals must stay updated with the critical issues and considerations posed by this heightened scrutiny.

In this session, distinguished professionals in antitrust law and compliance Kail J. Jethmalani (Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP) and Liang Ding (DeHeng Law Offices) will provide an in-depth discussion of antitrust merger enforcement. They will also offer best compliance practices to prepare for a challenging compliance environment.
