Alesya Nasimova is the Director, Associate General Counsel, Product & Privacy at Brex and previously was the Senior Director & Associate General Counsel, Product & Privacy at Fundbox where she led product counseling, data privacy & protection, and IP. Prior to Fundbox, she was Senior Product & Regulatory Counsel, Global DPO at Bolt where she has built and led the Compliance and Privacy Programs for scalability, sustainability, and international expansion, as well as spearheading the IP incentive program to drive product innovation.
Alesya has served as in house counsel within the fintech industry for over 7 years holding positions such as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Legal and Compliance, having started her career working in the Commercial Real Estate and Investment Funding sector as well as devoting her time to pro bono work representing defendants in Consumer Debt Litigation. Alesya is an Advisory Board Member of the IAPP Privacy Education Board, and active member in the tech community advocating for innovation, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Jeff Reihl is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the global legal business of LexisNexis. In this capacity, Mr. Reihl is responsible for global technology strategy, bringing together the company’s applications, product platforms and business systems to deliver LexisNexis world-class content to its customers in innovative ways.
As CTO, Mr. Reihl also leverages the company’s cutting- edge technology and deep customer insight to help legal professionals work more effectively and efficiently and achieve better outcomes for their businesses and clients. Prior to his current role, Mr. Reihl led the New Lexis Technology and Operations team, Global Solutions Development, and before that, Editorial & Content Development for LexisNexis. Before joining LexisNexis in 2007, Mr. Reihl held multiple executive leadership roles at Thomson Corporation in both P&L and staff functions, including Chief Information Officer of Thomson Healthcare and Executive Vice President of Thomson Clinical Solutions and Thomson Micromedex.
Prior to that, Mr. Reihl was VP, Product and Systems Development at ProQuest and also served as a Principal Engineer and Software Manager at Hughes Network Systems. Mr. Reihl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Central Michigan University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.

Steve Gong is the Head of Global Patent Operations, Technology, and Tactics at Google. His team is responsible for process management, outside counsel engagement and management, technical infrastructure and tooling including building new toolings, systems, and data solutions to enable Google Global Patents to manage one of the world’s largest patent portfolios.

Steve received his Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis., Bachelors in Science in Bioengineering from University of Illinois and Masters in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Jordan Thompson is the General Counsel of Penn Foster Group, formerly Deputy General Counsel and Privacy Officer of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and its College of Medicine (NYITCOM). A non-profit independent, private institution of higher education, NYIT has 10,000 students in programs and campuses in New York (Manhattan and Old Westbury, Long Island) and Arkansas as well as China, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. NYIT sponsors 13 NCAA Division II programs.

In addition to day to day duties as university legal counsel, Mr. Thompson negotiates technology agreements with an emphasis on protecting university assets and student data privacy. He serves as the university legal point of contact on major cloud-migration initiatives.

In his role as Privacy Officer, he participates in strategic decision making, developing policy and training staff and faculty on data loss prevention and privacy compliance with a focus on FERPA, HIPAA and the NY SHIELD Act.

A Certified Information Privacy Professional, Mr. Thompson is a frequent speaker on privacy and technology matters and enjoys sharing real world experience with others while striving to offer practical solutions to problems.

Mr. Thompson began his career as a litigator and has previously served in Associate General Counsel roles for a for-profit medical school and a nationally known commercial automobile insurance company.
