Michele Ballard Miller is the chair of West Coast Labor & Employment at Cozen O’Connor. She is a widely recognized management-side labor and employment attorney. For more than 30 years, Michele has represented businesses in single and multiple plaintiff cases and collective actions. Her clients – who run the gamut from Fortune 50 powerhouses to burgeoning startups – trust her practical business-centered advice and counsel on a wide range of workplace matters.

Michele earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

E. Jewelle Johnson is Senior Counsel and Chief Employment Counsel for Graphic Packaging International, Inc., a publicly traded company that is one of the world’s largest producers of folding cartons and coated, recycled boxboard. Jewelle is responsible for handling domestic and international labor, employment, benefits and safety-related matters impacting the company’s 13,000 employees worldwide. In addition, Jewelle serves as primary counsel for the company’s Mill Division, Secretary of the Company’s Retirement Committee and is the lead negotiator on employment-related issues impacting M&A agreements.

Before joining Graphic Packaging, Jewelle was an equity partner at Fisher & Phillips LLP. Jewelle served as a founder and Co-Chair of the Fisher & Phillips Diversity Committee. She also was a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. A graduate of the 2016 Class of Leadership Atlanta, Jewelle has long been active in the community. She was appointed to Georgia’s State Personnel Board and Employee Benefits Plan Council by Governor Nathan Deal, and currently serves as Chair of the Georgia Personnel Board.

Jewelle also serves as President of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys Foundation, Inc., and Chair of the National Employment Law Council’s Board Development Committee. In 2007, she served as President of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) after having held numerous board positions from 2001 through 2006, including Vice President, Gala Chair, Historian, Membership Chair, and Parliamentarian. Jewelle’s other leadership activities have included serving as a member of the Georgia Supreme Court’s Commission on Access and Fairness in the Courts, a member of the State Bar of Georgia Committee to Promote Inclusion in the Profession, a member of the Atlanta Legal Aide Society’s Advisory Committee, a Director of the Fulton County Chapter of the Metropolitan Atlanta Boys and Girls Clubs, and a Director of the Atlanta Legal Diversity Consortium.

Jewelle has received several honors and awards. In 2016, the State Bar of Georgia awarded its Commitment to Equality Award to her for working to increase diversity within the legal profession. In addition, Jewelle was listed as a Rising Star in Georgia Super Lawyers magazine in 2006, 2007 and 2009. Jewelle was selected one of “Atlanta’s Top 100 Black Women of Influence” by the Atlanta Business League in 2007 and 2009, and she was listed in the 2007 “Who’s Who in Law” section of the Atlanta Business Chronicle Power Book. In 2006, Jewelle was recognized by Atlanta Woman as one of “Atlanta’s 25 Power Women to Watch” and she was featured in The Fulton County Daily Report’s annual “On the Rise” issue that same year.

Jewelle earned her Bachelor of Philosophy and Bachelor of Arts degrees, simultaneously, from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; and she earned her Juris Doctor from the Duke University School of Law in 1997.

As Associate General Counsel at Mission Lane, LLC, Cheryl serves as the lead transactional attorney and is responsible for negotiating, drafting and managing vendor contracts, joint ventures, equity investments and technology transactions and advising on strategic, legal and regulatory matters.

As principal at Legalsy PLC, Cheryl was Special Counsel at Blackbaud, Inc., BLKB, the world’s leader in providing cloud software and services for the social good community and Special Counsel, Privacy & Compliance at Greystar, the global leader in rental housing.
Cheryl previously worked in-house at Blackbaud as Deputy General Counsel, negotiating transactions, overseeing corporate governance, providing counsel and training to Human Resources, leading compliance efforts and managing the Sales contracts team.

Cheryl started her career at Capital One as a senior member of the commercial contracting team, where she developed best in class commercial agreements, policies and training on contracting and vendor management best practices training for Capital One University. Cheryl is a cum laude graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and received her JD from the University of Richmond School Of Law, where she served as the Executive Editor of the Richmond Law Review.

Christine Binotti is Lead Counsel for Motorola Solutions, specializing in Labor and Employment, Immigration/Employee Mobility, and Data Privacy.

Before becoming an expert in Labor and Employment law, Christine served as the lead Solutions Procurement Counsel for Motorola’s Global Services and Solutions business and provided commercial legal support for Motorola’s North American Sales team. Prior to joining Motorola, Christine served as Counsel for La Petite Academy, Inc., the nation’s leading early education and child care provider. She is well versed in all aspects of legal compliance, including Labor and Employment, Data Privacy and Protection, Employee Benefits, Employment Litigation, Immigration/Employee Mobility and Commercial Contracting.

Christine currently serves as a Committee Member for the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Street Law Program. Christine graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
