Yelena is a member of Woodruff Sawyer’s transactional insurance brokerage and SPAC teams. She advises clients on M&A- and IPO-related insurance solutions, including representations and warranties insurance and D&O insurance for SPACs. Yelena is a frequent speaker and author and serves as the M&A managing editor of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today.

Prior to Woodruff Sawyer, Yelena oversaw the development of Bloomberg Law’s practical guidance, reference and analysis content covering capital markets, M&A and securities law and practiced as a senior capital markets associate at Clifford Chance and a corporate associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae.

Yelena received her BS in Economics from Cornell University and her JD from Fordham University School of Law.

He previously spent seven years as General Counsel for DraftKings, where he scaled the legal function and managed the company’s legal posture throughout numerous financing and fundraising rounds, litigation, and regulatory actions, at both the state and federal level, including the high profile legal challenges the company faced in 2015 alongside the explosion in popularity of daily fantasy sports and strategic acquisitions.

Prior to DraftKings, Tim was General Counsel for Everest Gaming, a European-based online poker and casino operator, and was also a founder of a company in the cryptocurrency space.

Previously, he served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Town Sports International Holdings, Inc., a leading owner and operator of health and fitness clubs in the Northeast, United States, Deputy General Counsel at Toys "R" Us, Inc., and worked at several prominent New York law firms, including Bryan Cave LLP. He began his career as Staff Attorney in the Northeast Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

David graduated from The George Washington University, in Washington, D. C. with a degree in Finance and graduated from The Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law, with a J.D. degree and is a member of the New York and New Jersey bar.
