Navigating the Cyber Threat Terrain: Cybersecurity, Privacy and Legal Sector Focus

Joseph Lee is an accomplished cybersecurity executive with over 30 years of experience spanning cybersecurity, IT risk management and compliance, controls assurance, and process improvement. He is currently the Global Director for IT Security and Risk Management at an esteemed international law firm. In this role, Joe leads a dynamic team responsible for all facets of cybersecurity, IT compliance and risk assurance. As an experienced cyber leader, Joe has applied his extensive knowledge of information security risk frameworks and strategies to successfully develop, transform, and mature the cybersecurity and IT risk management functions for several leading organizations.

Sabrina Ceccarelli si the Global Vice President and Asst. General Counsel at Lightspeed Commerce Inc. Prior to her role at Lightspeed, Ceccarelli was senior legal counsel at Siemens where her role included commercial contracting, higher-value and novel commercial contracts, technological topics, procurement contracts, strategic partnership agreements, and R&D agreements. She has also worked in corporate law at Torys LLP and Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

I am a Director of Regulatory Risk, Privacy, and AI at Microsoft HQ, where I oversee the global cloud privacy strategy and implementation for the company. With over six years of experience in the security, privacy, and compliance field, I have a strong background in intellectual property law, data protection regulations, and AI ethical guidelines. I hold an LLB, an MBA, and two certifications in privacy law and information management.

As a privacy and AI leader, I am passionate about ensuring that Microsoft's cloud services and products are compliant, secure, and ethical, and that they protect the data and rights of our customers and users. I work with a cross-functional team of experts and partners to develop and execute compliance frameworks, privacy impact assessments, security best practices, encryption standards, threat intelligence, risk management strategies, GDPR compliance, cybersecurity policies, cloud access security, identity management, multi-factor authentication, data governance, insider threat prevention, and secure DevOps. I also monitor and advise on the latest developments and trends in the regulatory risk, privacy, and AI landscape, and advocate for the responsible and trustworthy use of AI.

Rachi cofounded Altorney in 2022. Previously, Rachi worked as a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft in their Corporate, External, & Legal Affairs department. In that role, he managed and promoted the use of advanced technology solutions for the eDiscovery team.

Before joining CELA he spent four years working in the Office 365 Information Protection product group, helping to create and build eDiscovery, Data Governance, and Compliance features. He is an advisory board member of ACEDS and EDRM. Prior roles include being part of the Equivio management team, the founding team at DiscoverReady, and managing eDiscovery at RLS.
