Description

In an era where transparency and fairness are paramount, corporations are under increasing pressure to address pay equity comprehensively. Larissa Boz is a Senior Counsel at Squarespace with extensive experience in global employment law. Prior to this role, Larissa worked as a Labor & Employment Attorney at Proskauer Rose LLP where Larissa represented US and international employers in various employment law matters. Larissa also served as a Secondee - Legal Counsel at the National Basketball Association, focusing on player health during the COVID-19 outbreak. Additionally, Larissa held roles at BNP Paribas in campus recruiting and as an HR Generalist in Capital Markets. Larissa holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and a B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Prior to GEAPP, Elizabeth served as General Counsel and Head of Policy at CDP the global data and disclosure platform, focusing investors, companies, and governments on building a sustainable economy by measuring and understanding environmental impacts. As a thought-leader on ESG, Climate Change and Environmental Justice, Elizabeth led on legal and strategic business matters, advising C-Suite executives, boards of directors, and overseeing CDP’s annual investor request, the CDP Supply Chain program, CDP policy, Cities, States, and Regions (CStaR), data and technology operations; the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) partnership; and served on the Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity and Accessibility (JEDIA) global task force.

Previously, Elizabeth worked as a Global Litigator with Howrey LLP and with Hemenway & Barnes, focusing on complex commercial litigation, antitrust and intellectual property law. Elizabeth has a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, where she trained in the International Sustainable Development program in London, Paris and Geneva. Elizabeth also holds a B.A. in Philosophy from The College of the Holy Cross.

Elizabeth is also an adjunct professor of Bioethics and Logic.

Katie Dugan is the head of global labor & employment law at Match Group which is the global leader in online dating with brands including Match, Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid, The League, and more. Prior to Match, Katie had in-house roles at both Yext, Inc. and Mattel, Inc. At Yext, she led the global labor and employment function. At Mattel, she worked in various roles in the global employment, ethics & compliance function.

Before going in-house, Katie worked in litigation and advice & counsel roles in the employment law department at regional law firms as well as a boutique management-side labor and employment firm. She began her career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert Polifroni, P.J.Cv. in the Superior Court of New Jersey.

Previously, Hih Song served as SVP, General Counsel at Kaplan Test Prep, a subsidiary of Graham Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: GHC) and SVP, General Counsel for Stoli Group USA. She is on the Board of Directors of Day One (nonprofit partnering with youth to end dating abuse and domestic violence) and served on the Board of Trustees for the North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics and the Board of Directors of The Door, Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT), and Urban Bush Women. Hih Song received her AB from Harvard University and JD from Harvard Law School. She is from North Carolina and resides in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.

Carol Goodman

Carol Goodman is the co-chair of Herrick’s Litigation Department, chair of the firm’s Employment Practice and a member of the Firm's Executive Committee.

Carol advises public and private companies in all aspects of employment law throughout various industries such as government, sports, multi-media, real estate, finance, hospitality and the arts.

Carol defends employers and key employees against the full range of federal and state employment claims as well as landlords and property owners against discrimination in housing claims. Carol’s experience includes litigation at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts, arbitration venues, and before authorities such as the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR), the New York City Commission on Human Rights (NYCCHR), Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOP) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Carol designs, implements and conducts harassment and discrimination prevention training for companies, their Board of Directors, executives, managers and/or staff. With decades of experience litigating employment matters, Carol adds an element of reality to her live training sessions (conducted in-person or, more recently through virtual platforms) by using relevant real-life examples tailored to the specific industry and audience. Carol also regularly assists companies with establishing reporting mechanisms and conducting internal investigations.

Carol performs employment policy reviews for employers which include a full assessment to ensure that they are compliant with current laws and regulations, including with respect to new COVID-19 leave laws, parental and sick leave laws, proper classification under the Labor Law and FLSA, and anti-harassment and anti-discrimination regulations. Carol regularly develops, drafts, and provides guidance on compensation arrangements, severance packages, releases and exit incentive programs. Employers rely on Carol’s advice to see them through both the hiring process and individual and group terminations, mass layoffs and furloughs. Most recently, Carol counsels clients on implementing compliant COVID-19 safety plans, providing guidance and assistance in connection with re-entry to the workplace.
