Before joining Freshfields, she was an associate in the dispute resolution practice of a prominent international law firm’s New York office. While in law school, Maria served as a judicial extern for the Honorable William G. Young of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Maria is a member of the editorial board of Arbitration International, official journal of the London Court of International Arbitration.

Armed with a U.S. LLM (Master of Laws) in Business and Technology Law, Mehreen has honed her legal acumen to an exceptional level, equipping her with the skills and knowledge required to navigate the complex legal landscapes of the cybersecurity industry.

In her present role at Kiteworks as a Sr. Contract Manager, she excels in managing and negotiating Kiteworks license agreements with its customers and plays a pivotal role in advising the company on compliance with EU and US data privacy laws.

Tim joined Kiteworks in 2021, bringing over 15 years of marketing experience and expertise applying that knowledge to IT, cybersecurity, and compliance. As VP of Marketing at Contrast Security, Tim built out the global marketing team and elevated the company's brand in the application security space. At Fortinet, a leading cybersecurity provider, he led a major rebranding effort and go-to-market strategy encompassing over 30 products.

Tim also optimized demand generation operations at NetApp to drive lead flow and sales opportunities. Before moving into corporate marketing roles, he co-founded an agency providing marketing services to various tech companies. Through his diverse experiences, Tim has developed a keen understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity solutions, and compliance needs. His blend of marketing acumen and tech industry knowledge makes him a uniquely qualified speaker on topics at technology and compliance-focused events.
