He is frequently called in to serve as the incident commander for large-scale data breaches and compromises of ultra high-net worth individuals. He also works as a forensics expert and expert witness for a wide variety of cyber incidents. On behalf of his clients, he has successfully collaborated with local and federal law enforcement on multiple occasions in apprehending offenders and recovering stolen funds.

Frequently speaking at industry and trade events on Cyber Security and current threats. He serves as a Principal and Vice President of Security and Compliance for Element Technologies, an IT firm that specializes in developing secure solutions for clients in nearly every industry.

David Hansen leads NetDocuments’ Security Compliance department, which includes management of annual ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018 certifications and Type 2 SOC 2 audits, development of policies, implementation of procedures, auditing operational and security compliance, and helping customers and prospects understand NetDocuments’ security architecture. David has over 25 years of experience in finance, HR, marketing, IT operations, and federal legislation. His experience is supported by degrees in communications, accounting, and journalism and by being a Certified Public Accountant. David lives with his wife and three children outside of Park City. UT.
