Rachel Chapman

Lead Counsel - Data Privacy and Artificial Intelligence
Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Rachel Chapman is Lead Counsel – Data Privacy and Artificial Intelligence for Takeda Pharmaceuticals, a global, values-based, R&D-driven biopharmaceutical leader with a large U.S. presence. In this role, Rachel provides business-focused legal advice on data privacy and artificial intelligence matters across all business units and departments operating within the U.S. (or otherwise impacted by U.S. legal requirements). Rachel is a member of the Digital Ethics and Compliance Office, which partners with program and product leaders to ensure ethical and compliant uses of data, digital assets, and technology while driving innovation and growth.

Rachel has expertise building global privacy program capabilities, assessing and future-proofing novel products and concepts, negotiating complex data privacy agreements, and day-to-day management of privacy program elements including breach response, policy development and training. Having joined Takeda’s U.S. Legal Department in 2007, Rachel spent the first part of her Takeda career broadly advising on privacy and compliance matters, including pharmaceutical fraud and abuse prevention, prior to moving into a focused privacy role in 2017.

Rachel received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, and her Law Degree from Loyola University Chicago, where she focused in Health Law. She is a member of the Illinois bar and holds Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) accreditations. Outside of work, Rachel sits on the Advisory Board of the Elmhurst YMCA, plays violin in the Elmhurst Symphony, and enjoys spending time on Lake Michigan with her husband and three children.

Molly McGinley

Molly McGinley is a litigation attorney concentrating her practice in commercial litigation with a focus on complex litigation, including class action defense and derivative litigation. She represents a broad range of clients ranging from small private companies to global public companies in a variety of industries, including energy, healthcare, digital health, technology, automotive, food and beverage and financial services.

Molly’s class action experience includes representing clients nationally in actions under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and consumer fraud statutes. In addition to her litigation work, Molly frequently advises clients with respect to compliance with biometric privacy laws.

Molly also has experience representing publicly held corporations in other complex litigation, including securities derivative and class action lawsuits and antitrust class action lawsuits in various jurisdictions.

Molly’s recent thought leadership includes speaking and writing on various topics including biometric privacy, telemarketing regulation and class action securities litigation.

Molly holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential given by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Tiffany Hartkemeyer

Deputy Chief Privacy Officer
Booking Holdings Inc.

Tiffany Hartkemeyer is the Deputy Chief Privacy Officer and Global Privacy Counsel for Booking Holdings. Based in New York, she is an experienced legal, data protection and privacy leader with deep knowledge of global data protection and cyber security regulations. She is experienced in regulatory compliance, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs), incident response and breach management, as well as Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), privacy policies and procedures, and colleague training and awareness.

Prior to joining Booking Holdings, she was the Global Chief Privacy Officer at Mercer where she was responsible for setting the strategy for the development and growth of Mercer’s Global Privacy Program.

Prior to being appointed into the global role, Tiffany was Mercer’s UK/EU Data Privacy Leader based in London where she led the firm’s GDPR implementation initiative and helped manage both the BCR and Brexit preparedness programs. Before that Tiffany was based in New York at Mercer’s parent company, Marsh and McLennan Companies (MMC), where she helped build MMC’s Global Privacy Program – from Data Loss Prevention and BCRs to developing a privacy legal and regulatory risk assessment framework.

Prior to MMC, Tiffany worked at MetLife helping lead compliance and privacy for the Group Disability and Group Life Insurance product teams.

Tiffany is a member of the New York Bar and a Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Jennifer Abernathy

Director, Data Privacy & Compliance Counsel
AAR CORP

"Jennifer Abernathy is the director of data privacy and compliance counsel for AAR CORP. In this role, Jennifer designs and implements AAR’s global privacy program and advises on privacy and compliance legal matters. She also established the data governance committee at AAR and currently serves as chairperson. Her previous experience includes more than twelve years as in-house counsel and chief compliance officer for a financial institution where she designed, implemented, and managed a comprehensive compliance program, was an executive sponsor of data governance, and provided general legal advice to all areas of the business.
Jennifer is admitted to practice law in Illinois. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University as a full Medallion Scholar, and she acquired a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Jennifer is accredited as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Julie L. Cantor has worked in the legal field since 2014. Julie L. began their career at McDermott Will & Emery as a Private Client Associate, writing memoranda interpreting and summarizing various facets of trust, tax, real estate, partnership, charitable donation, international charity organization, art, fiduciary accounting, and cemetery law, as well as drafting a wide range of documents. In 2015, they joined Compass as Senior Counsel, Employment, Corporate Counsel, and Associate Counsel. Julie L. then moved to Studs in 2022, where they currently serve as Associate General Counsel. Prior to their legal career, Julie was a 7th and 8th Grade Math Teacher and Teach For America Corps Member at Paul Public Charter School. Julie L. taught students who were up to eight grades behind grade level and used excel data to analyze and communicate student achievement with various stakeholders.

Julie L. Cantor obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University between 2009 and 2011, with a focus on Secondary Mathematics. Finally, they obtained a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University between 2005 and 2009.
