IBM
Moya Novella is Privacy and AI Policy Counsel at IBM, where she advises on the organization’s policy and advocacy strategy for emerging global privacy and artificial intelligence legislations and regulations. Moya advises IBM’s Government and Regulatory Affairs team and AI Ethics Office on initiatives to drive thought leadership on global privacy and AI regulatory policy. She also leads cross-functional efforts for keeping apprised of, analyzing, and preparing commentary on globally proposed privacy and AI policies. Moya has also served as IBM’s privacy law lead for mergers & acquisitions and divestitures, and has advised on compliance with global privacy laws for IBM’s business-to-business transactions.
Moya serves as Adjunct Professor of Privacy Law at Seton Hall University School of Law in New Jersey, and Albany Law School in New York. She also speaks internationally at industry and law conferences on the topics of globally emerging data privacy and AI legislative and regulatory policies.
Her academic credentials include: B.S. in Sociology from State University of New York, Old Westbury; M.A. in Public Policy from Stonybrook University; and J.D. from St. John's University School of Law. Moya has also completed post-graduate studies at: GIMPA Faculty of Law in Ghana, West Africa; Cambridge University Trinity College, England; the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland; and University of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain. She holds CIPP/E and CIPP/US privacy certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and AI policy certifications from IBM’s AI Skills Academy.

Jessica Nguyen is the Deputy General Counsel of AI Innovation and Trust at Docusign, the market leader in e-signature and intelligent agreements. Her role at Docusign focuses on building AI technology that actually solves pain points and ensuring that the technology is built responsibly. She’s formerly the Chief Legal Officer of Lexion, the AI-powered legal intake and contract lifecycle management system, which was acquired by Docusign in May 2024.
She has an extensive in-house legal career at innovative tech companies of various sizes and stages and has been the first legal hire that built out the legal function of a company 3 times. Prior to Docusign and Lexion, she was the General Counsel and first in-house attorney of PayScale, a Microsoft Office 365 attorney, and the first in-house attorney at Avalara.
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law and is an award-winning General Counsel, including, the: 2023 Washington State Bar Association Legal Innovation Award, 2020 “Startup GC of the Year” by Corporate Counsel magazine, 2019 Top 100 Legal Influencers by The Business Journals, 2019 Best Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and 2018 Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40.

Melanie Antoon has served as DISCO's Chief Customer Officer since January 2024, where she is responsible for all functions of Customer Experience, driving customer satisfaction and retention, and developing strategies to deepen our relationships with existing clients and attract new ones.
She first joined us as DISCO's VP, Professional Services in November 2019 before becoming our SVP, Professional Services in January 2021. Prior to this, Ms. Antoon held roles as the SVP of U.S Operations at Inventus, LLC, Director of Hosting at Huron Consulting, and VP of Client Services at Catalyst. Ms. Antoon holds a B.A. in psychology and women’s studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S. in computer science from DePaul University.

Zhoaying (Dorothy) Du

Zhaoying (Dorothy) Du leads Motorola Mobility’s global legal team, and is responsible for overseeing and advising on various legal matters across the organization. Her vast scope includes AI, global product R&D, hardware and software matters, intellectual property, strategic outsourcing and procurement, compliance, data privacy and security, sales and marketing, corporate governance, government relations and the overall supervision of litigation matters with support from MBG’s global legal team.
Dorothy has nearly 20 years of experience in providing legal advice to international companies. Before joining Motorola, she served as general counsel for a US-based international insurance company’s China operation and was co-chair of the Asian-Pacific Practice Group of a renowned law firm. In this role, she advised companies on international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financing and securities, private equity, startups, subsidiary and joint-venture operations, and compliance.
Dorothy has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri Law School, a Master of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Law degree from Sun Yat-Sen University Law School.

Jessica Nguyen is the Chief Legal Officer of Lexion, a contract management company powered by AI. At Lexion she wears many hats – basically everything but the technical stuff. Jessica has an extensive in-house legal career at companies of various sizes and stages, and primarily in the technology and B2B SaaS space.
Prior to Lexion, she was the General Counsel of PayScale, a Microsoft attorney supporting Outlook email, and the first in-house attorney at Avalara. Jessica has been recognized as the 2020 “Startup GC of the Year” by Corporate Counsel magazine, a 2019 Top 100 Legal Influencers by The Business Journals, Best Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and a 2018 Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40.
