D. Russell “Rusty” Hood was named vice president and general counsel of Elyria, Ohio-based Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, an air brake technology company. Azzarelli general counsel, senior vice president of legal and public affairs, and corporate secretary. C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., a third party logistics company based in Eden Prairie, Minn., promoted Ben Campbell to vice president, general counsel and secretary. Previously, he was assistant general counsel with the company.

David Smiga has been promoted to assistant general counsel-environment at Pittsburgh-based United States Steel Corp. Previously he was an attorney in the litigation and environmental sections of the company.
Sedgwick CMS, the Memphis, Tenn.-based third party claims administration services, has promoted general counsel Kimberly D. Brown to executive vice president. Brown, who serves as corporate secretary and chief privacy officer, has also been appointed to the company's executive committee.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
