In-N-Out Burger filed a lawsuit against a Maryland fast-food chain, claiming that the restaurant has copied In-N-Out's signature look. The style and design of Grab-N-Go's logo is too similar to that of the Californian chain, says In-N-Out.

Baltimore Fishbowl describes an additional closeness between the chains' recipes, with ingredients for hamburgers resembling one another in all aspects aside from the sauce.

In-N-Out states they will continue working to maintain the ingenuity of their trademarked menu and design against all competitors, but hope to do so on friendly, rather than confrontational, terms. The burger chain seeks damages and a permanent injunction.
