Hewlett-Packard Co. announced yesterday that Michael Holston, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, will leave the information technology company to pursue other opportunities.

Hewlett-Packard Co. announced yesterday that Michael Holston, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, will leave the information technology company to pursue other opportunities.
Holston joined HP in 2007 from his position as partner at Morgan Lewis where he handled a lot of HP's litigation work.
“Mike has been an exceptional leader at HP and a great contributor to the company's mission,” HP President and CEO Meg Whitman said in a statement. “The entire company wishes him well in his future endeavors.”
HP said that it is launching a formal search for Holston's replacement, and candidates from both inside and outside the company will be considered. Meanwhile, David W. Healy, a partner at Fenwick & West, will act as HP's interim general counsel.
