Gregory Jordan

GC Appointments

Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group Inc. has named a new GC, and for the position, the company decided to look locally. Gregory Jordan joins PNC from Reed Smith LLP, Pittsburgh's largest law firm, where he served as global managing partner. At his new job, Jordan will hold the titles of general counsel, executive vice president and head of regulatory and government affairs. Jordan replaces Robert Hoyt at PNC after Hoyt left to become GC at Barclays LLC in September.

Jay Itzkowitz

Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. has brought in a media industry veteran as its new GC, as Jay Itzkowitz has been appointed senior vice president and general counsel of the company. Itzkowitz has previously worked at News Corp. in Los Angeles, News International in London, and Sky Global in New York. “Given our multi-faceted growth strategy, we are fortunate to have attracted such a seasoned professional with substantial experience and relationships worldwide,” Global Eagle CFO Dave Davis said in a statement. “Jay's experience will afford us a high level of expertise, and we welcome him to our organization.”

Laura Brevetti

Is that… could it be… yes, it's Laura Brevetti's music! World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced a new head of legal affairs, and Laura Brevetti has received the job as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Brevetti comes to the WWE from the firm K&L Gates, and she previously served as the attorney-in-charge and special attorney for U.S. Department of Justice as well as the assistant district attorney for Kings County, New York. Brevetti will report directly to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

James Lucke

The ServiceMaster Company, one of the world's largest residential services networks with brands such as Terminix, TruGreen, American Home Shield and ServiceMaster Clean, has named James Lucke as the company's senior vice president and general counsel. Lucke comes to ServiceMaster from the flooring and building materials industry, where he served as vice president, secretary and general counsel for Georgia-based Mohawk Industries, Inc. “He has a track record of building strong teams, spotting new business opportunities and providing outstanding service to the business teams he supports,” ServiceMaster CEO Robert Gillette said in a statement.

Greg Moundas

Texas-based Aimbridge Hospitality owns more than 180 hotels throughout the U.S. and Caribbean, so it makes sense that the company needed a hotel industry veteran to lead its legal team. In Greg Moundas, Aimbridge's recently-named executive vice president and general counsel, the company will get exactly that. Moundas has previously served as senior vice president and general counsel for Wyndham International, Inc., along with acting as GC for both real estate development trust Eagle Hospitality Properties Trust, Inc. and hospitality investment and advisory firm JF Capital Advisors.

Ashlie Beringer

Other In-House Moves

As we reported on InsideCounsel on Sept. 27, Facebook has named a new deputy GC to replace Colin Stretch, who was recently promoted to the top legal role as GC within the company. Ashlie Beringer comes to Facebook from Gibson Dunn, where worked for eight years, most recently as a partner. “We're thrilled to welcome Ashlie to Facebook,” a Facebook spokesperson said in a statement. “We have always been impressed with her toughness and commitment to innovation on behalf of her clients, and look forward to having her on our team.”
