If you’d asked Liz Moore 20 years ago what she’d be doing today, she would have said that she might be an entertainment attorney. But after she left her job as associate general counsel at Planet Hollywood International in 1999, her career path took some unexpected turns. Staying in the hospitality industry, she joined Italian fast-food chain Fazoli’s Restaurants, eventually becoming general counsel. There, she spent a lot of time on franchise deals, which teed up Moore for the high frequency of transactions that would come across her desk as chief legal officer of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, which she joined three years ago.

Moore spoke to reporter Stephanie Forshee about her transition to the sports world.
