Personal care company Kimberly-Clark Corp. announced Monday that Jeffrey Melucci has been named senior vice president and general counsel, effective Sept. 1. Melucci brings roughly 15 years of in-house counsel experience to the role, including over four years at Kimberly-Clark, the company behind products such as Kleenex and Huggies.

Melucci joined Kimberly-Clark in 2013 as vice president and deputy general counsel. In 2014, corporate secretary was tacked on to his title, and he has served in this role since. Prior to joining the Irving, Texas-based company, Melucci held a number of roles at General Electric Co., including regulatory and compliance counsel for GE Aviation and international transactions counsel for GE Transportation. Just before joining Kimberly-Clark, Melucci spent five years as general counsel of aviation systems and aviation business development at GE Aviation, where he led a team of more than 30 lawyers, contract mangers and compliance professionals and directed the negotiation of $16 billion in deals, according to his LinkedIn page.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Jeff's experience and talent to lead our legal function,” said Kimberly-Clark CEO Thomas Falk in the June 19 announcement. “He is a proven change-oriented leader who has demonstrated abilities across our businesses.”
