Mallory Duncan has announced he will retire from his post as the National Retail Federation's general counsel and senior vice president in August.

Duncan, who has been with the retail trade association since 1994, will stay on as a consultant to the organization on certain retail issues involving payments and ongoing litigation related to credit card swipe fees.

In an interview with Corporate Counsel Thursday, Duncan outlined his recent accomplishments with the association and explained why his job as GC there has been the best of his career.
