CKE Restaurants Holdings Inc. has promoted Chip Seigel to serve as the company's chief legal officer.

Seigel, who joined CKE's legal department in 2005, previously served as general counsel for the parent company of fast food chains Hardee's and Carl's Jr. since November 2016. No replacement general counsel is expected to be named as Seigel will keep his GC title in addition to becoming CLO, according to a company spokesman.

Seigel's promotion was announced last week, along with the news the company had hired Jeff Jenkins as chief marketing officer and Tom Brennan as chief operating officer. The company indicated in a press release that Seigel's promotion places him in a new role where he will serve as a “key member of the management's leadership team.“
