Cota Inc., a New York-based health care data and analytics company, has hired Elizabeth Rushforth to serve as chief legal officer and executive vice president.

She joined Cota from Sungevity, a Silicon Valley-based solar electricity company, where she served a stint as CLO. Prior to that, she worked as general counsel and senior vice president for software analytics company MedeAnalytics Inc. and as GC of another software company, Unwired Planet Inc.

“We are excited to welcome Elizabeth on board as we reach a major inflection point in the company,” said Cota CEO John Hervey, in a Sept. 7 press release. “She brings a valuable set of legal experience and leadership skills that will be an asset to us as we expand and advance our offerings to the payer, provider and life science community.”
