Innovari Inc., a Portland, Oregon-based energy technology company, has a new general counsel. Lisa Jurinka, most recently GC of Jive Software Inc., is stepping into the role.

The announcement, which came from Innovari Tuesday, noted that Jurinka will be responsible for Innovari's global legal affairs, as well as corporate governance, contracting, commercial licensing, intellectual property, litigation, compliance and regulatory matters.

“Lisa has deep experience in advising rapid growth high-tech organizations in the process of transformative change,” Chris Hickman, CEO & Founder of Innovari, said in the announcement. “Lisa's expertise will serve as a valuable match for the growth and transformation that Innovari is currently experiencing as we help utilities and their customers work together to enhance the performance of the evolving grid. ”

When reached for comment, a spokesperson from Innovari called Jurinka a “
great addition to our growing team.”

Jurinka replaces Robin Lunt, who left Innovari in April for law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer. Before joining Innovari in 2015, Lunt had served as a legal and policy adviser at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Jurinka joined Jive Software in February 2013 as an associate general counsel, and was promoted to GC of that company in November 2014. Before joining Jive, she worked as assistant GC in the legal departments at CafePress Inc., Epocrates Inc. and Broadlane Inc. She also spent time as a corporate associate at Sullivan & Cromwell.

Innovari is known for its Interactive Energy Platform, which, according to its website, is used by utilities to manage energy delivery, leveraging artificial intelligence and data analytics. The company operates on a global scale, with offices across the United States as well as in Latin America, India and Turkey.
