Actuant Corp. on Monday announced the appointment of Fabrizio Rasetti to the newly created position of executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.

Based in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, area, Actuant is a diversified industrial company serving customers in more than 30 countries. The company provides branded hydraulic tools and solutions, specialized products and services for energy markets, and highly engineered position and motion control systems.

Rasetti now supervises Dawn Boland, vice president, corporate counsel and assistant secretary, who has served five years in the post. Boland was Actuant's first in-house counsel, and she built its legal team from the ground up, according to her LinkedIn bio.

Boland remains listed as an officer on the company website. Actuant didn't return messages seeking comment.

The company announcement said Rasetti brought “more than 25 years of broad legal experience across various industries including the industrial, mining and services sectors.”

He previously served as vice president, general counsel and secretary at Boart Longyear, located in Salt Lake City, from 2006 to Dec. 31, 2017. Boart Longyear, provider of drilling services and products, is traded on the Australian Securities Exchange.

For that he worked for 10 years at SPX Corp. in roles of increasing responsibility, including general counsel and vice president of various business segments.

Rasetti also spent more than five years as an associate in private practice with Howrey, and then Towey & Associates in Washington, D.C.
