It's zero hour for companies to comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation. The complex set of new rules and restrictions around processing EU citizens' data went into effect Friday. In the weeks (and days) leading up to the GDPR deadline, a number of global tech companies have named their data protection officers.
