In the past six weeks, nearly 2,000 children have been separated from their parents at the United States’ southern border and placed in government-run facilities as part of the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy.

The policy’s sparked backlash from a number of tech’s highest profile leaders, including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Airbnb’s co-founding trio, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and Apple CEO Tim Cook. Top in-house lawyers in the tech industry have joined in the discussion of Trump’s immigration policies as well, using social media platforms to express their views, often with the hashtag #KeepFamiliesTogether.
