Of 11 investigations or inquiries by public bodies into how Michigan State University handled the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal, one probe by the state lawyer grievance committee focuses solely on assistant general counsel Kristine Moore.

Moore, who has declined comment, joined the university’s GC’s office in October 2014, after serving as an attorney and assistant director in the MSU office that handles Title IX complaints. In that role, Moore led a much-criticized investigation into a sexual abuse complaint against Nassar, erroneously concluding that he did not engage in any misconduct.
