Electric Carmaker Faraday Future Hires Banking, Regulatory Expert as Top Lawyer
Henry (Hong) Liu, a former partner at Mayer Brown who served as general counsel of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, will hold several global roles at Faraday Future, bringing years of experience in Asian markets.

Liu has deep Big Law experience, beyond just Mayer Brown. According to a 2012 report from The American Lawyer, he's worked at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, where he was hired to head the firm's financial institutions infrastructure team for China, as well as at DLA Piper and Nixon Peabody. He's held positions as the managing director of investment banking at the worldwide investment banks of Credit Suisse First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He also served as general counsel of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the primary regulator of China's securities industry. “With my experience, skills and knowledge in both the U.S. and China, I hope to bring an immediate infusion of leadership across global legal, government affairs, and finance to this excellent team, and together further advance FF's vision to create a shared intelligent mobility ecosystem,” Liu added.
