He will lead the company in global legal, compliance, ethics, intellectual property, environmental health and safety matters. He's also serving as Benchmark's corporate secretary. “This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a talented and diversified group of professionals in achieving the strategic, business and financial objectives of the company,” Beaver said in a statement. The new GC was not immediately available for further comment. Benchmark, a publicly traded company, has a dozen offices throughout the U.S. and Mexico, two locations in Europe and four Asia offices. The company sells its electronics manufacturing and design services for use in aerospace and defense, telecommunications, computers, and medical devices, among other areas. Prior to joining Benchmark, Beaver spent more than five years as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Aspect Software, which has its headquarters in Arizona. The company specializes in call center technology and has offices worldwide. During his more than 20 years of legal experience, Beaver also served as general counsel for two other companies anchored in Arizona: TPI Composites Inc., which makes blades for wind turbines, and trucking company Swift Corp., the largest full-truckload motor carrier in North America. After graduating from the Marquette University Law School, Beaver spent six years at Bryan Cave , where he specialized in labor and employment law and commercial litigation.
