President Donald Trump once remarked on Twitter that “trade wars are good, and easy to win.” But the truth is more complicated, especially when it comes to taking on the economic powerhouse that is China.

“A lot of people who are objecting say, no one wins a China trade war. But what they should really say is: ‘No one wins a trade war except the trade lawyers,’” said Adams Lee, an international trade lawyer at Harris Bricken in Seattle.
