A media, data and technology company owned by some of the biggest telecom players in the United States announced on Wednesday that it's filled two legal-related roles at once.

NCC Media, which connects marketers with online and TV programming providers, has hired Noga Rosenthal as both chief privacy officer and general counsel.

Rosenthal has experience in both roles, according to her LinkedIn profile. At New York-based NCC, she will be responsible for the company's legal department and lead its privacy initiatives. Rosenthal will report to NCC Media's president and CEO Nicolle Pangis.

“Noga has played a central role in building a more responsible data practices framework for the global media industry and we are thrilled to welcome her to NCC,” Pangis said in the hire announcement. “She will be a key asset as we continue to expand the breadth of our data-driven addressable and linear television offerings.”

NCC Media did not immediately respond to a request for comment, including on when Rosenthal will start her job.

But, in the announcement of her hire, Rosenthal looked ahead to the progress she said the company, which is jointly owned by Comcast Corp., Charter Communications Inc. and Cox Communications Inc., is making in moving its industry forward.

“NCC Media is revolutionizing the TV advertising space, helping to build a smarter, more attributable ecosystem that works better for consumers, brands and media owners,” Rosenthal said. “I look forward to working closely with Nicolle and the NCC team in delivering on our vision for a positive and useful advertising experience.”

After graduating from Fordham University School of Law in 2002, Rosenthal began working as a corporate associate at DLA Piper. She would go on to work as a senior attorney and assistant vice president at Sotheby's Inc. And in 2008, she became the general counsel and senior vice president of digital marketing company Xaxis.

She is also a board member of the Network Advertising Initiative where she previously served as the organization's general counsel and vice president for compliance and policy.
