The possibility of a meeting between President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping later this week during the G20 summit in Buenos Aires has led to speculation about whether the two leaders will reach a truce in the escalating trade war.

Stateside companies that do business in China will no doubt be watching what happens on the sidelines of the summit. But what should they really expect to come out of the talks between Trump and Xi?
