The beauty and wellness products company PDC Brands announced Friday it had hired an experienced intellectual property attorney as its general counsel.
Matthew Wagner started the role in October, according to his LinkedIn profile, but the company just made the announcement Friday. It is not immediately clear whom he replaces.
He will report directly to James Stammer, the CEO of PDC Brands, and be responsible for all legal aspects of the company.
“We are excited to add Matt to PDC's talented management team. I've had the pleasure of working with Matt for almost a decade in his role as Outside General Counsel to our company. He has proven time and again to be a trusted advisor whose expertise and leadership qualities will be of great value to our team,” Stammer said in the news release.
Before joining PDC, Wagner worked as a partner at Diserio Martin O'Connor & Castiglioni, according to his LinkedIn profile. While at Diserio, he was chair of the firm's intellectual property practice. Over the past decade he has served as a nonexecutive secretary on PDC's board of directors as outside counsel. He has also been chairman of Fairfield, Connecticut's Town Plan and Zoning Commission since 2013. Wagner graduated from Western New England University Law School in 1996.
“I'm very proud to join the team at PDC,” Wagner said in the press release. “I have developed very strong relationships with the executive team and am excited to help the team execute its strategy. I look forward to being a part of the Company's long-term success.”
Based in Stamford, Connecticut, PDC owns the brands Calgon, The Healing Garden, Cantu and Dr Teal's.
