A longtime in-house attorney at IBM has moved to the top legal role at Revlon.

Revlon executive vice president and general counsel Cari Robinson succeeds Mitra Hormozi, who will remain a consultant to the Manhattan-based cosmetics and fragrance giant, a spokesperson told Corporate Counsel.

In her new role, Robinson, who could not immediately be reached for comment, oversees Revlon’s legal affairs worldwide, including board of directors issues, corporate governance and compliance, intellectual property, licensing, acquisitions and divestitures, regulatory matters, human resources, commercial transactions and litigation, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Robinson spent nearly 19 years at IBM, most recently as vice president and assistant GC for investigations and cybersecurity, where she oversaw internal investigations, regulatory matters, cybersecurity incidents and data breaches, according to her online company bio. Previously, she was associate GC for litigation, managing IBM’s white-collar and commercial litigation matters worldwide, it added.

A graduate of Emory University School of Law, she began her legal career as a litigation associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell and then served as a federal prosecutor in the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York before joining IBM in October 2000, LinkedIn said.
