Perryman was not available for additional comment Monday.

"Skye has distinguished herself for both her legal work and leadership," said CEO Maureen Phipps said in the press release. "She is a dedicated advocate and we are thrilled to have such a skilled, passionate and committed individual on our ACOG leadership team."

Perryman joined the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in April 2018 as deputy general counsel. She has also worked as senior counsel at Democracy Forward. She has also worked as counsel at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr and as an associate at Covington & Burling. Perryman graduated from Georgetown University Law Center.
